Another day has passed....I'm trying not to complain too much about the "dark grey" spots on my floor. I still don't like it, but, trying to hold my tongue.
Today was another day of putting out fires....it seems we do this every day lately. Today we were out running errands....and.....we ran out of GAS!!!!! WE WERE SOOOOOOO CLOSE TO THE GAS STATION!!!!!! Starla and Julie, remember where you stayed while down here(Grey Gull)....we'll we ran out of gas in front of that motel. Mark started pushing the jeep, 2 nice guys came over and helped him. We put gas in...then it would NOT start!!! We spent forever trying to get it started. We finally had to admit defeat and call AAA. We were towed 1.3 miles back to the camper. Let it set a while, and it fired up!!!! It was apparently flooded! When it rains it pours. But, while thinking it was something BAD...I called my Mom in Albemarle(3 hours away) to come get me, take me back to Stanly County to get my SUV, the vehicle I can depend on!!!! But, once it started I cancelled that request. I DO plan to bring it back down here on our next trip home! It might be terrible on gas, but it's dependable...the jeep, while much better on gas, makes me nervous! Well, all fires are out for the day, perhaps tomorrow will be Non-eventful!!!! ~;o)

Still trying to get a handle on blogging...lol
Well, today was a weird day! First I slept late, then after Mark got home we had breakfast, I walked the dog, and then Mark wired 2 new outlets in the camper.(We've been doing some remodeling) After that we decided we'd run down to the ocean for an hour or two....got there, and the sun disappeared....then the rain came....tried to wait it out, but the wind picked up, and we got cold, so we packed it up after only 20 minutes. :( Came back to the camper....now remember we are remodeling....Mark decided to fill in some areas in the floor where we removed the table, getting ready to install new vinyl.... WELL....the stuff he used is DARK...my floor is LIGHT, he had told me that it was WHITE...NOT!!! Well, I am not a patient person, and I do like things done in a certain way....OCD??? Perhaps! Anyway, it's dry now, still NOT white, but it's lighter than it was in the beginning...I'm still not happy...he thinks its funny...I disagree! I'm hoping to install the floor this weekend, but we'll see. In the meantime, I guess I will be looking at 2 lovely dark grey circles in the middle of the living area! I am really starting to miss my regular home in Norwood. I hope we get back there soon. However, Mark really likes his new job down here. I am missing my family and friends something fearce! I would love to stay here if all of you would move here too! :)
Well, thanks for listening to my gripe session..it does help to get it off your chest. Bless Starla's heart, she's already heard this stuff one time...thanks for always listening!!!!! I love you dearly!

My Ya-Ya's left today :( and it's raining here at Holden Beach.........
I had a wonderful time with them yesterday and this morning!!!! It was so nice to finally get to see them. Being 150 miles away make it hard to see one another very often, but Julie and her family came to visit several weeks ago, and Starla and her family are coming down in a week or so. Seeing my friends and family make being away from home a little easier.
Mark had an interview with Brunswick Community Hospital on Friday. It appears he has the job, we just don't know exactly when he will be starting. The people there seem really nice, we may be here a little longer than we had originally planned....mixed feelings about that. But, I am very supportive of his new career, and I know our stay down here will not be permanent, we love Stanly County. The truth is that is where my family is, and I'm addicted to being near my parents...I guess I'm just a kid at heart, and don't like being too far away from Mom & Dad. Maybe I depend on them too much, but I don't really think they would want it any other way.
It's getting really dark outside, and the rain is pouring down. It rains a while, then the sun will come out, and then we repeat the same pattern. We are under a Tropical Storm right now, and the temp just dropped to 73 degrees, I think I will go sit on the porch and watch the rain fall while it's cool, once it stops, I imagine the humidity will SOAR!
More Later.............

Wednesday Morning
Good Morning..... Well, this is the first time I have ever blogged, my dear friend Starla recommended this site to me, so here I am. Currently, I am spending the summer at Holden Beach, NC. I really love waking up here...the salt air makes it a pleasant atmosphere. My morning routine includes sitting on my deck listening to the birds, while drinking my coffee. What a way to wake up and start the day. If it's not raining, I usually end my day by sitting on the beach watching my husband fish, and the seagulls flying over my head, and of course, the waves crashing in front of me. I think to myself, "now this is the life, even if it is only for the summer".
